I've heard alot about this film "city of god" its a brazillian film about well basically 2 young men growing up in rio de janero in the worst slum "cuidad de jesus", one becomes a gang warlord the other, struggles to make a life as a photographer I was completely awe struck by this film, it captures the pure brutality and survival instincts of human beings. It is candid in its psuedo-documentary style, the acting is superb, the direction and everything from the ground up is amazing. *I suggest this to anyone with a hang up on foreign indie films, violent films, and well really good movies*

ALIEN VS. PREDATOR I've been waiting for this flick to come out since I read the dark horse comics of the same title, in high school... must say as most filcks, coulda been better... still a dope ass horror/scifi, giving the total background of both species, and they(the film creators) even weave some ancient mystery into it, namely the location of the first civilization, complete with LoveCraftean lore to add some beef to the story.

haven't seen it yet, always have wanted to see it just so I can laugh at it, you know it's stupid when part of the reason it's rated is because of slime...
(I'm not kidding, look at the reason why it's rated! it's there!)

Both very good films, you should follow up on DARREN ARONOFSKY's work, his first flick was called "PI" it will blow you the f*ck away, shot completely in black n' white. What kinda movie interests do ya have.

Memento and Requiem for a Dream were enjoyed by me for sure.
I saw Waterloo most recently. Painfully camp, but the aerial views of the battle are astounding, and remain so no matter how many times you've seen it.
