The movie version of "Phantom of the Opera"--fun to watch, and pretty to look at, but poorly made overall. should have known from the musical - oh well.

napoleon dynomite. it was terrible, yet i found myself smiling through the entire movie. I agree, saw that recently. one of the worst movies I've ever seen, but it was so easy to laugh it...guess it was the general stupidity of it all. saw "shaun of the dead" last night...british comedy spoofing zombie movies...it was great. damn, I love the british - best sense of humor in the world.

I watched a very dark and depressing movie called "The Inner Circle" directed by Andrei Konchalovsky. I think it was made in the early '90s.

Shaun of the Dead is the movie of last year. f*cking brilliant, genius....
if you like that Yoss, have you seen the sitcoms Spaced or Black Books - it's the same kinda madcap mundane black humour.
Anyway films....last night Jewel of the Nile was on.That's really sad. Before that was a plethora of kid's movies such as Lilo and Stitch and Finding Nemo (both quality viewing) and also Shrek 2. Also saw Bullitt and The Italian Job over the hols....yeah they're reasonably cool...I'll leave it at that, before I make myself cringe further....

i watched "top secret" and "the last samurai" last night.
the former is a must see. the later was decent.. slow in parts, but good nonetheless.

don't think I've heard of "top secret," though for some reason it sounds familiar...what is it about? when was it made?

leomny snickets "a series of unfortunate events" must say they did a horible job of encapturing the authors "existential" views and over tone, but on the whole a grim, yet light hearted story that is quite enjoyable, the costume & art design are unbelieveable, stunning gothic...
