Its about the writer, the writer director I mean, played by nicholas cage, he plays his twin as well and he is writing a screen play adaptation of a book, a book about a man and a flower... it is a magnificently told story... an introverted soul, and real life peril...

I'm sure that cleared it up a lot, fire... the plot is hard to explain, leash, it's the kind of thing that you have to see to understand, but it's well worth it... donnie darko (along with "the usual suspects" and "run lola run") has got to be my favorite movie ever, have seen it about ten times now...

*lol* that lola flick, man did I hate that movie, a f*ck'n six year old could wrote filmed & directed that pretentuous hip flick... Donnie Darko on the other hand was a striking film, I'm still just as blown away as the first time...

what struck me about "lola" was the unrelenting intensity...
fire, have you seen "usual suspects"? great film, you should see it if you haven't...

The usual suspects is pheonominal work, "Kaiser Souze" f*ck'n "greatest trick the devil ever pulled, was convincing the world he didn't exist, *phew* and just like that, he was gone." Have you seen brian singers "The apt pupil" he has a pattern arising in his films, "the bad guy wins"

can't say I have, if it's anything like "usual suspects" I'll have to; that's a prime example of a surprise ending that's actually a surprise...

I saw it in theaters, was okay, if a bit too long, but I wouldn't want to see it again, the dialouge is shitty and the characters are too wooden, still it was fun to watch on a big screen...

How was that?
*Finally saw "Eternal Sunshine of the Spottless Mind"* and must say the oppinions I read before, did this work little if no justice at all, I found the story quite exeptional souls meeting, the flash of a firey romance, the teetering of true love, and childish spite... I thought the acting of "Carey" to be actually non-Carey, meaning his presence is that of his portrayed roll and not the "actors persona" there were many a corelation from that story to my own love battle and I belive it showed that terribly romantic quest we all have being "if it is meant to be, it will be."
