i think ..tho might be wrong..this wos the 1st haiku/senryu i ever wrote...they gone down hill ever since LOL love this form an tanka as well..not only is it cool practice (like forcing somthing real into so short a lines) they help if you get writers block..smash some of these together an 9 times out of 10 you get a idea for a new write

Awesome! Love the comments too. I like Haiku for many of the reasons you mention. There are two other aspects I like that often go ignored because a Haiku gets complicated. It should have an aspect of nature and the first and last lines should be juxtaposition.

well haiku is nature based an senryu is people based..i mostly write senryu...dunno about "juxtaposition" cept is a bit rubbish cos its already got 5 sillybubbles in it

LOL I hadn’t noticed that. Juxtaposition – kind of a side by side comparison with opposing beliefs. A conundrum when done perfectly.
