Was I just another victory ? A next morning history ? Now you are long gone Only memory, another used condom
Did you pass a manhood test ? Warrior seeking thrills of conquest Easy riding cycling Viking Weekend sex sailing
Gilt wrapped lies, catapulted over walls Gates opened in friendly submission Me defences so easily felled I paid the Danegeld
Painted an easy target Your mates think I'm on a f*ckable market Scrambling for their longships Oaring with sleazy tricks
Bedded with deceit and espionage Marauder hidden in camouflage Crusaded, invaded, I should be used to them Call me Jerusalem
But is time for payback Make my stand upon Senlac Armour stronger, Bodkin aimed truer Your gonna fall hard as Hardrada
Guilty of treason There called stilettos for a reason I'm the best you'll never have But honestly, you aint worth the Jihad

What I got from your work? "Life's changing. People not." We try to console ourselves "People become better ... Life becomes better ..." Ha! Great piece, Lady! W.F.

Love it! There is not one line or metaphor I do not agree with. My only complaint is that there are words I don’t understand; Danegeld - If I separate it into its two parts"Dane" and "Geld" I think I get it. Senlac – assuming it’s a city or place. Hardrada - Had to look it up but remembered the story after reading a few lines of Wiki. Viking lore is an old study for me and my memory sucks now. "There called stilettos for a reason" - right on! :-) It’s got everything. Captivating opening and while the ending might be considered more cliché than profound it is right on, and the body is full of persuasive arguments connecting the two. And I didn’t mind the rhyming at all. [blinks in surprise] Even that is good. :-) I love the "Medieval" reference but modern society has not outgrown this in any way have we? I do so love reading you.

kk so Danegeld or Dane-Geld basically a Viking 'protection racket' they would besiege a town or city (Paris twice) an threaten to sack it so the townsfolk would pay them to go away..it worked an they left but of course then theyd come back again an again Senlac or Senlac Hill the battle site of Hastings 1066 (tho no one actually knows where it is exactly) where Harold Hardrada got the arrow in his eye ..also the last Viking battle LOL me 'teaching' !!! now i know the worlds screwed

I love the line 'Easy riding cycling Viking'. I turn it over in my mouth & it sounds so bad ass haha. 'Bedded with deceit and espionage Marauder hidden in camouflage' Just an awesome placement of these words, they work so well. Also, did you mean "My" in the 3rd line, 3rd stanza? Thanks for sharing
