Haha I concur. All through out life we are told to reap the benefits... hmm sometimes there just aren't any.

Moonstone - "...sometimes there just aren't any. " - Truth!
Heaven and hell. Can’t know one without knowing the other.

Thank you, friends! L.F., my friend, for I know that "life is crap" - it doesn't mean that I know "life is honey". Perhaps "honey" is, well, tasty ... There are things that we can't put together. I know black part of life but I can't say that I know its bright one. The same with hell and heaven. They exist in different dimensions. Though Hell has very long hands... Best regards, W.F.

Oh! My friend you make me weep. You are right of course, there is far more hell on earth than heaven, but… There is heaven in the birth of a child and hell in his loss before he learns to speak. Heaven is in the touch of a good woman and hell in her taking EVERYTHING as she leaves me destitute. Heaven is in a land that provides all I need before it burns in the fires of hell. You make me weep of hell but I find heaven in the philosophical ponderings you inspire. If I never saw heaven then I could only call hell, life. I hold the momentary memories of heaven I have known but I live life’s hell.

I've found that soldiering on through the hell that is life, and persevering has become it's very own piece of heaven. My bright spots are few and far between, but over the course of time I've grown to understand that if you're in a dark spot, you've got to light your own tinder, start your own fire, and see whatever the hell you can see for yourself. This work was short, and concise. And true. And not just true in the sense that I connect with it, like some kind of love piece that resembles my own loves. Or some kind of angry poem that reflects my particular kind of rage. I feel like this is true in the encyclopedic sense. Factual, even.
