Believe me when I say
Laughter has been left Smothered by it's own ashes
Hearts lay In suspended animation Alienated from their carcasses
Inner sanctum, as uncomfortable as it is Beyond the great wall...
The court jester hung himself In the kings hall...
Concede defeat Only to be beheaded With a dull ax...
We do not murder We kill...
We do not take We ask...
Tolerance is one thing But at this point, our concessions Border on lunacy
... And at what point does humanity Claim it's independence from herd mentality?
We are one people divided By self enforced Imaginary confines Blindfolded or told to look the other way
No more heroes or villains
Frankly, we are all the same ... Some of us just dress better

Wow! Really good. I love the ending. I love it all. :-)
“Tolerance is one thing But at this point, our concessions Border on lunacy” – Thanks! I’m not alone in this observation.
I’ll read it again soon.

The court jester hung himself In the kings hall... This section is a separate piece for me. It speaks volumes to our true condition.
