Like a hive disturbed its contents brimming over with keen awareness "WARFARE"
Take life or have it taken
See your enemy before you ...and kill him
Take his meagre land enslave his women and children burn his home to the ground
Retire and grow old
Pass on every ounce of your hatred to the young teach them cunning & deception
Break them re-build them
Watch the swarm not the hive There-in lies its life
Each individual a separate interpretation of a singular philosophy
"All those who oppose, destroy"

'megere' = meagre
I love the buzz of your hive metaphor. It brings images of hornets or bees as well as ants, all discharged en masse and repeatedly cropping up no matter how many times they are decimated.
Immediately I think of Islamic radicals. And progressives. And mothers.
ENJOYED!!!!

Your true warrior side shines through with a bit of tyranny. It feels, in part, like a simple explanation to a Berserker philosophy.
I like it and it’s well written.

When I read this I get an image of "fantasy" like a battle ensuing within a village or something...if its about your father...than I missed the point altogether...

Not being Veritas I cannot speak for him, but I can discourse a bit more in-depth in regards to my own comments. The hive metaphor instantly struck me - hive mentality - even Eusociality - which I think he described perfectly. In the insect world eusociality is expressed primarily with a reproducing female and sterile workers, or drones. Even though a human expression of this would not include sexual sterility, it speaks to the desire to sterilize or truncate individual thought and perception. By drawing parallels and adding the philosophy "All those who oppose, destroy" the effect was heightened for me as the reader. There exists among certain groups (terror cells, progressive agendas,etc) the same quasi-superorganism type organization. The horde continues regardless of the strikes against its factions. Collateral damage is expected. They are working for the collective, not the individual. I immediately pictured Islamic radicals, progressives, and mothers - not mothers in the sense that they will stop at nothing to protect their children, but mothers as insidious creatures who wish to reach into subsequent generations. Veritas saying it was about his father solidified my notion of mothers in this regard. I have a predatory mother.
