With the death of the king Came the dousing of flames, Its power removed with the crown. While the kingdom did sleep Magick pulsed through their veins, And carnage set loose on the town.
Through the rain and the wind The great cracking would sound, Of space being split into two. A gate to the black lands Of the demon’s pound, Thrust open as they filtered through.
Fire leapt from their hands As they murmured quick curse, Burning as much as they could. Till the city - a pyre Expecting no worse, And spread to the surrounding wood.
Save the chapel alone Buildings reduced to ash, Its shadow cast light on the blaze. Where the brothers did heal Those with more than a gash, Sight dampened by thickening haze.
Then without but a hiss The events of the night, Had ended as quick as begun. With objective complete And no resisting fight, They’d left by the rising of sun.

I enjoyed this more than I expected to. Are you a bard in your guild?

Hi jonnydredd
You tell a story well and I was tempted to throw in all kinds of comments. I even started a long dissertation on this but then I realized I was trying to change your style. Sorry! Keep it up and welcome to DarkStar.
I still play Morowind with about a hundred mods. I played Oblivion through about a dozen times before I stopped. I never got through the realm of Shegorath (Spelling?) because of a bug when you meet your twin self in the quest. Sigh!
Take care,

haha, thanks for the replies, guys! I am glad you enjoyed it I do try to keep all of my work original but once in a while something as powerful as oblivion does inspire me. I've played for a couple of years now on and off and haven't actually completed it at all yet :/ I always get lost exploring and doing side missions for guilds and such Until next time, Jon

There must be thousands of quests. Some are very hard to find and even harder to complete. If I missed any they must number few and there was only the one I could not finish. There are a few reasons I proffer Morrowind. It’s easy to modify, the world is much bigger, the NPCs look better to me, and after I found a texture mod, lighting mod and window glow mod (day and night) I felt Oblivions graphics had very little over Morrowind except for the grass and trees. Oblivion did a superior job on those. There are views, like looking down on the city or valleys from mountain tops that are fare superior as well.
