I've lived here All my life Yet this Place No Longer seems Like home...
My Values, My Beliefs, Hold no worth Here, In the Land Of the Self Righteous Bible Bigots...
I'm an American Losing Faith In America...
I grew up believing Freedom for all But Freedom is an Idle illusion...
This Country was Founded on Promises That where never meant To be kept...
This place, Is not the helping Big brother It pretends to be, This Country is more of The School yard bully, Who picks on anyone Who is different...
I am an American Losing Faith In America...
---This is more of a rant than a poem. Feels good to let this out...

"I've lived here All my life Yet this Place No Longer seems Like home..." I feel the same, although for different reasons than you expressed.
Well written, even though you were ranting there is an ease to your gush.

Val you rant in lilting tones that pull at my heart. I know how you feel. I was so much the patriot but my faith in this country dies more with each passing day. The greed makes me literally vomit sometimes. I can’t turn on my TV anymore without getting sick. In my head some of the lines in our national anthem have changed. For example it now ends thus; “Over the land of the incarcerated and the home of the intimidated!

I like it. Did you want "big brother" here to have two meanings? I thought that line and the part about "an idle illusion" were particularly potent.
