I die the undying death
fall helpless to the faded vision
that somewhere amongst the shadows
Fell and cracked the mirror of promise.
So fast the little dissecting creatures arrived
To torment the reason, wage war upon the delicate side
and left but a torn fragmented Soul that withers by and by
Till life holds no sacred promise, no dream nor desire.
When the night finds my hovel, it lingers and chokes
till the fits of coughing exaggerate the intoxicants that fill me
And leave my pitiful body be, In loneliness and cold
Till the next fix, the soar, the next cry and faded tear.
I don't know, I cant remember when all faded so fast
Just a moment where everything seemed ever so perfect
then the shadows filled and flooded my mind, Such it is
This undead gift of torment, decay and silence.
They don't see me
Though I walk their streets, they turn their heads
Find some excuse not to see the decay of themselves,
For fear they see their own face staring back.
I used to go to friends and family
Till soon, Aye! by far too soon
I'd worn try all the welcomes and tenderness
All the love I held was vacant and empty.
The air is so, so cold, It's bitterness sweeps within
and huddled to the can of burning rubbish, I seek some warmth,
Please God help me! Rings over and over within my mind
But only this picture finds my destined silence.
I have no more will, No desire to fight, to stand
Just lonely sackcloth that fills my rest
But every now and then, my mind finds peace to dream
And dream I do for that eternal Death.
