Just a note. This poem is generally about what we have done to the world and the environment etc. At the same time, it also refers to my mental state in adult life compared to that of childhood. So this poem has kinda a double meaning, but I figured it would be interesting to post it here. There are alot of hidden meanings, but hopefully you will enjoy it nonetheless!
~Reality's Dream~
So fair and fine the summer morn, The heavens are ever blue, The frail scent of flowers I breathe anew; To this alluring dream I come to. Can this unnatural realm reality be? Despite my desires, I fear not. This be the dreaming paradise that I forgot, But by wretchedness was I caught.
Out of darkness was I born, Nothing but darkness shall I see.
Bleak the horizon of reality’s morn, Such is the land that is true. Winds whisper uncertain questions to Desolate wasteland empty through; What we have created has come to be, Lo the hellish wilderness, deserted and hot! In the wastes all answers rot. All must escape, yet I cannot
Out of darkness was I born, Nothing but darkness shall I see.

Beautiful, wistful, and depressing.

I'm confidant in saying that depressing is what I do best! Thanks for the comment.
