By nightfall, I am no longer present in this world, I'm somewhere else, less complicated and demanding. I am without, but not in need I'm numb, yet you should pay no heed, For I am here, where you can't touch nor hear, I'm better now, and all the rest may disappear.
And then the waves of color rush to wake me, A whirlwind of blackness fades foremost, Followed by the stars and dreams you gave me, Then comes the sunrise, and I am lost.

i love the idea of this.. i myself have written of it before.. the seperation of dream and reality.. waking up to a world to bright to see clearly.. i loved the second stanza.. you captured the feeling well... i would like to see the first stanza a bit more detailed and developed, only because i feel you describe "this" beautifully.

what if dreams are the real us, and right now, we are just dreaming from the real us? like, as in, right now, we are dreaming, but when we fall asleep and dream, we're actually living. maybe this is a hell, and a dream is a heaven...who knows

But this... idea makes much more sense to me for reasons i would rather keep to myself.
