You could've been someone, And I took that away. It was the hardest thing I've done, And now I have to pay. You could have been someone, But where are you today? You are in a place unknown, Where time knows no delay. You could have been someone, But now that will never be. You’ll never see the moon or sun, And that’s all because of me. You could have been someone But now you have no life to live. Your chance at life has come and gone But will you still forgive? (In Memory Of Gaela)

I find this poem extremely personal and therefore hard to comment on. So I won't. Suffice it to say that I liked it very much, despite the apparent sadness it expresses.

a very...sensitive write, I think. Seems as if there's a lot of understanding shown here.

Thankyou both for the lovely comments. Yes, this poem is very personal, and yes, there is alot of understanding here. I wrote this after I was forced into an abortion. I will never forgive myself for not fighting harder. This is just one of many poems written in memory of someone that will never be.
