I think it wos Aish that gave me some cool advice aaaages ago on reading poetry, somtimes it's about not only a story or tale...but to evoke emotions
So after some wiki searches, am still wondering why "intrusive"? For meself tho, i see both mortality and immortality within the lines Very few are remembered, most are forgot, but I guess that's OK..on some level we all been very lucky to have been at all...☺

Wos the last 2 lines that got me to think of the mortality idea...Gilgamesh is the oldest saga in human history...kinda immortal, you describe him as taunting..ever living
Isis, well I guess it's about context cos she had a few roles, patron of magic, mother and friend of the downtrodden...in can see her in this as you unveil her...broken or shattered illusions, seeing the truth behind a mask ☺
