If I could just come up with a decent Haiku I’d use it to replace that Synru I posted in the longest Haiku thread and start a Synru thread.
I like the gentleness of this though at the moment I’m more inclined to Dylan Thomas’s view on the subject. I used to play chess with an old man in a retirement home near the home where I grew up. It’s funny but all these years later I wonder what he must have been thinking as I sat across the board from him listening to his stories. Youth is wasted on the young probably. LOL He talked a lot about his children that never seemed to visit. I wonder if they knew how much he loved them. What will I talk about?

I cant write Haiku to save me life...not good ones...an those examples oof good ones on various websites i just dont get...most are sooo cryptic they is almost pointless IMO an tho generally i dont like people very much...they fascinate me lol bit like religion, am a total non believer, but is again a fascinating subject at school we done a project about Birmingham's Blitz talked to some OAPs about it an then years later watching the 70th anniversary of D-Day..how few wos left, an all those i interviewed at school...how many of those were left ?...all those memories lost 2 or 3 years ago in the flats they wos a old boy on the ground floor, never knew his name, lots of times coming home from work at 5 or 6am coming thru the main doors id see his curtains twitch...TBH it creeped me out a bit, till i found out after he had died talking to Mr Assiz from the corner shop...he wos actually seeing if i got in safe!!...i never spoke to him...i felt horrid about that
