Turmoil in a common opinion. And beauty changed its appearance When in a barnyard found out The Ugly Duckling was born from a pteranodon's egg. - beauty is an omnipotent power -
* based on H.C.Andersen fairy tale "The Ugly Duckling".

You are quite right to my mind lady! The only addition - people are ready to love anything if it "anything" is big, powerful, cruel, merciless ... Known dictators were not, well, are perfect looking people but got a lot of love. Love is a remedy for surviving ... Or death.

LOL Reminds me of the Cuckoos. Some of them lay their eggs in the nests of other birds.
pterodont = Pteranodon.
I took his story to mean that a young gangly, gawky child often grows into a beautiful person. This, by my experience, has been proven in two different ways. A young skinny, gawky, awkward girl /boy often grows into a very physically attractive person. Also, people who are not doted on or allowed to get away with murder as a child often grow into well rounded adults who actually care and don’t see themselves as the center of the universe.
“- beauty is an omnipotent power –“ – Yes, it has its effect on even those who are aware of it. It is desirable and our minds have hardwired expectations of anything we perceive as beautiful but a beautiful face can hide an ugly mind and a beautiful paradise can have hidden dangers.

Thank you, my friend! Yes, you are quite right "pterodont = Pteranodon". In the same time The Ugly Duckling is as much a pterodont as a pterodont is a Pteranodon. Just metaphor, words play ... In such works like this no need to be correct. Even more, it shows that it's an invention, irony, joke ... And you got the sense of this piece perfectly! If you are interesting to see an image, just click on "distorted mirror". Hope it's funny. Best regards, W.F.

Distorted mirror – I see you have been busy. How it was in reality – I’m usually good with play on words but I don’t get “pterodont.” Rodent? When you said you hoped it was funny I expected to see a Pteranodon eating ducklings. LOL I especially like “The Expert.” Running was something I enjoyed immensely until a forklift nearly took my foot off. It was a close thing, I was literally minutes away from amputation but the doctor found a pulse just before operating. Afterlife. First Touch. Is really good.

It’s a complicated humor. Partly from Monty Python and partly nature’s cruel reality.

What I take from this is one can only be beautiful when they embrace themselves as they are. The Pteranodon is an ugly duck but a duck is an ugly Pteranodon.
