"The Bell Tolls"
Yo, I'm shoutin out Sean Bell. What in hell is wrong with the system? Cops cheatin sentences, death's penalty for innocent victims. Acquitted, a praise the courts deemed fitted I'm sickened, Sean should still be livin But to law, I'm spittin treason. f*ck'em, cause Sean had reasons for livin Family, friends, fiancé, strip club visions
Died on his wedding day Unarmed, but believed strapped. singled out, aggressive police action no doubt! first-degree, second-degree, manslaughter, Detective Marc Cooper, take it in the pooper Reckless endangerment by state troopers Years after acquittal, lives remain in limbo f*ck poe-poe, givin a shit bout them? No! Demonstrations described by Al Sharpton as pray-ins, When will police put they own on trial, praying! Police brutality and misconduct weighted-in A f*cked judicial decision, 50 bullets?? They can't even open the f*ckin' casket! This is more than rhyme, more about lives More about corruption when N.Y turns a blind eye Twin towers, Sean Bell, a city in hell. Come see why!
R.I.P. Sean Bell!

What justice system. None for we who care. This is why I can’t read rage and tainted heart is my true home. You always touch me deeply. TheLonelyForsaken

I seized this poem because of the title, but it was very contrasting to what I expected. I didn't enjoy the rap-ish feel to the poem, but the rage was there. I really felt the unjust nature of the situation. Thank you for sharing this.
