five-beat poetic line: the most common rhythm in English poetry, consisting of five iambs in each line. "The quality of mercy is not strained" is an iambic pentameter.
William Shakespeare was famous for this. See if you can come up with a little something.. Have some fun

What could I write within this thread as such? It seems I've nothing to apply just yet. No dictionary nor thesaurus crutch To help me win this nonexistent bet.
I have no foot to stand on for this write, Nor verse to add upon this challenged post. With my luck it'll be sometime tonight When I can scribe a stanza at the most.
Too sober I may be to do this right? Too locked in mind to take a decent shot? Too trapped in many a subconcious plight? Too spread so thin I can't tell Reap from Scott?
Whatever it may be this too shall pass, As soon as I get off my lazy ass...

The dreams of beast is filled with flesh of men Taken from graves, from beds, from walks, at dusk Eaten like fruit, like meat, like bread, at dawn The beast has written names; homemade menu.
