Grass grew there along the edge A defiant little jungle pushing past the tar willed asphalt.
(A testimony to tenacity)
Those fine green tendrils crept and reached so stealthy that it was like watching them grow.
Desiring one target to claim and cover the prize, the grassy grail.
One forlorn foot of average size gangly toed on the side of the road .
Waxy skinned and bloodless that false prophet of gory amputation did not fool me into believing in fleshy decimation.
It was a trick. A comedy for ignorant sods.
