Poetry to me is not just big words or the ones that sound like they came from the lips of a god that knew only beauty
poetry to me is emotion be it raw and rough or smoothed over cultured I should say
I do not write poetry for poets I write for myself and for the sheer beauty of putting words together and letting them paint a picture of words

It's in this section because most people believe that poetry is not good unless it rhymes and uses big words. Just because it's not the kind of system people usually write about dose not mean that it shouldn't be in here. Try opening your mind a little.

Many of us at DS already feel what you try to express in your poem.. Because of that, it feels like the poem is in the wrong category.
No need to poke each other.

Poetry IS emotion and words are your instruments for conveying that emotion. The more words you know or the more ways you know how to use them, the better you'll be able to actually transmit your emotion. It's not about BIG words, but then again define "big words"? If in every poem you use the same words over and over again it gets old and it's harder to connect to a piece that has no verbal variety.

Writing a poem about poems is a difficult endeavor. This is especially true in a poetry forum. It comes off as preachy. I think no matter how good this kind of poem is, it is restrained to the subject matter. Thus it is bound to step on some toes.
