The taste of unemployment had a mucus texture at first. The financial burden he bore was back-breaking at its worse. He had dropped from XXL to medium, his wife was proud as punch. She did not realise his sacrifice, -he ate neither breakfast nor lunch. The husband would rather the children have full bellies at night His face bore a gaunt symmetry to the hungry man's plight. Wow... It's been over a year since I've written anything. Rusty, rusty rusty Next: succumb, demented, iron

I am unwilling to succumb to the ideal that Man owns the Earth
that we all are somehow tangled in the strings of a Heaven unwilling to let us fall to Hell
the demented chosen ones that stalk the dirt smeared on our faces
collecting stones as small trinkets to polish and adore.
I prefer to think of air as the drops of Gaia suckling the needy
that pays her dues in grit and iron to those who accept truth.
Next words: Bartender, lucky, gentle

Very deftly woven. Kudos.
Here we go: Bartender, lucky, gentle
She sighs as the bartender signals the time to go is immanent, no getting lucky tonight
unless she can don thick enough beer goggles in the next thirty minutes to seduce the old cog himself.
Maybe his hands are gentler than his tongue, she muses as she orders another and slips into a pretend frock of acquiescence.
Next words: frozen, thaw, dust

the cold water slowly flows over me i lay still Frozen in my crystalline sarcophagus
no warmth to ever reach me no chance at escape i am stuck in this aqua smoke haze
when finally i thaw nothing much remains of me but dust...
---sorry it's been awhile but meh...

Nostalgia, Relief, Burden.
Her secret garden promise; surrender, all blame, all burden... all is shared. Nostalgia never crossed the mind content for life’s steps leave no trail to the past in sands of weighted relief.
Next three; Tornado, chicken, river.

Upon the horizon a tornado is seen, Not a tornado of dust and debris But a tornado of chickens
Chickens that squeak and peck They're awful little things i tel you They fly and whirl away to the river

The space between breaths hitches, a dull cage where no parachutes of oxygen escape- each rung taken by force and painful calculation.
There is no depth in death. Only a distant finish line no one can erase.
Each painful remainder brings frantic bargains to smolder on the ears and lips of no one in particular- God is as deaf as a snake uneasy to shed outgrown skin.
Next: thicket, fireflies, caterwauling

She stands in the thicket a sodden yellow summer dress tattered torn at the heals tangled in thorns
Scattered thoughts she plucks them carefully each one from its thorn Placing fireflies in a jar a lantern that lights her smile
a Cheshire grin with a twist the caterwauling is ceased the lid has no holes
Next three: Together, Reflection, Rain.
