Mercury, Stain, Raw
Swift carrier of the Caduceus purveyor of knowledge, news of beginnings and ends. Mercury delivers as heralds do.
Raw anguish pours from capsa before parchment is unfurled. The stain I cannot read through tears.
Next three words; Merciful, Entwined, Crescent.

Lovers entwined under crescent moon whispered words slip from lips to ears...
merciful intentions put into motion as arms encircle and hands caress...
his first her last both hoping it will be all that they had dreamed...
Next words: sustain, renewal, last
---sorry if this seems ruff haven't written in a while and figured 3 words would be a good place to start again.

It is very good Val. We haven’t seen much from you lately but you make up for it in quality. sustain, renewal, last Impossible to sustain this flood without reciprocation. But in love’s gift there is endless renewal. The search is wearing. Hope wanes, heart falters, and spirit bleeds. Wounds fester without care. Each failure takes its piece and the next takes more – more effort, more toll.., more time. May the next, be the last. Next three: weathered, face, gemstone.

Philossophical gemstones, relative to indivi dual needs are often missed stumbling along paths overgrown in weeds if future is as the past, weathered and jaded to all the face in the mirror changes but the same things keep makeing me fall.
Personal, public, conceited

My feet brush lightly over the pavement, this conceited concrete so smooth. To the corner store I trudge, A Red Bull sugar rush to soothe.
Submerged in a crevasse in my mind, I can't hear the cashier's words. Dragged, dripping with personal thoughts I watch as her young face slowly curds.
I give her cash- public dirt on display, to scamper back from where I came. You strech, smile- a young child I snuggle, wanting to take your name.
She, brick, pages

A warm brick, I rest at her feet. She fills the pages of our life with a wonder I never imagined.
Dust, bright, pillow.

There once was an octopus named Grapefruit, He looked rather funny in his Armani suit. Nonetheless he could type really fast, With 8 arms and 4 keyboards, how could he be last? He was my very best friend, Until the accident led to his end... He was used to the ocean where there were no cars, When he didn't look both ways, he didn't go far. There was a loud screech, and a startling pop, Unfortunately quickly enough that bus couldn't stop. I'll miss Grapefruit so very bad, At least he'll finally be reunited with is dad...

Hi agiacona and welcome to Dark Star. Please take a look at our posting rules and guidelines here; Posting guidelines - darkstarpoetry.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=info&action=display&thread=7387Critique guidelines - darkstarpoetry.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=info&action=display&thread=8521The three to one rule applies to the threads under the “Poetry” heading of our home page only. For example, this is under the “Other Literature & Art” heading so the rule doesn’t apply. Take your time and get to know your way around. It can be confusing at first but feel free to PM me if you have any questions. Just click on “LonelyForsaken” over my avatar on the left and then click on “Personal Message.” We know that giving critique is difficult at first and we relax the rules a bit when you’re new but we do expect some effort. Please don’t worry too much over it. We know it is difficult to start. Take a look around, get to know some of us, and reading the replies will help you get an idea of the kind of critique we hope to receive. Mine, and some others, can be rather extensive but don’t let that scare you. We don’t expect you to start with a bang. LOL I don’t mean to embarrass you but many of our threads have a theme, structure, or rules that you should follow when posting in that thread. For example this one “Three Words” requires you to use the three words the last post leaves as a requirement to be used in the next poem posted. When you’re not sure of the guidelines just click on the first page and the rules will be at the top or beginning of the thread. Once you understand the theme then go to the last page in the thread and any item, words, picture, or whatever related materials are required for the next post will be at the bottom of the last post. For example, your post should have included the words; dust, bright, and pillow. I wrote a quick one to give an example and set the next three words to; time, flowing, and bed. Above all other rules just be respectful of other members and have fun. :-) BTW I like your poem you posted here. It is really cute but has a serious tribute feel as well. It’s good. :-) Dust, bright, pillow.Morning rise promise brighta day of soft cloudy glow At the end as dusk’s dust settles so too must my pillowand head Next three words; Time, Flowing, Bed.

Master of time, come to teach the reading. Flowing energy, waves of understanding. Enrichment, and then a bed of solace.

Column, walk, shadow
I walk an un-trodden path No sign no prints no scent
Nothing indicates direction but the whims of wind And where it rises in a column of debris in that shadow I walk
Next three; twin, moon, pestle

twin, moon pestle
She stirs within Like some venomous werewolf Gravity pulls her awake P.M.D.D. Moon Sated with offerings, as Vulcan of old
Prozac...I cant afford
Black clouds gather Thunderous drums shake my earth The quakes a warning to those near Evil twin explodes from within Malicious magma pours The me now drowns in tempestuous squalls
My world..trapped in a broken mortar Thor's pestle, malevolent Mjolnir Dont be around When blood rains are hammering down

I did my best but...

Stranded alone on a empty road. forgotten and alone. last of the root old mans final tooth. sadly I watch the sun fall from its daily glass throne. Id use my thumb but if no one can see it no one will know. where did all the souls go? Eerie is the sound of darkness. The eye play tricks as long as the mind is weak to resist. the bite of a predator Puts something to sleep then i can hear the creature eat.
Whisper to me darkness but don't flick your tongue in my ear. tempt me not to others for i hold a fear of love.

One who suffers delusions of grandeur and awakens drowning in the filth of truth finds a desolate heart within.
Next three; texture, burden, symmetry.
