Last Song
Time to mourn the fire's wrath; Feel sorrow for the trees. Time to honor debts, Homage to nature. Time to breathe honest air, If it's your last breath. Time to lie in ashes; Feel remorse for your destructive hands.
Time for new sprouts to bloom, Under untouchable skies Time to sing to the clouds; Bring life to the barren valley Time to cleanse your heart, At the sun's altar Time to close a door Now, open up another. __________________

Agree with goneghost about it being your most poetic piece For me it reads like going back to respecting the earth as our ancestors did...by moving forward or in by doing so we can move forward I really liked this

I love the sentiment. There are some of us who could easily turn in our phones, computers, cars, even electricity for a simpler life. The Australian Aboriginals have done well to avoid modern society but I don’t imagine any society has remained untouched by modern man in some way. LOL This quickly turned into a rage piece. I’ll just shorten it to; I’m ashamed to be called human sometimes. The Earth is strong and I don’t think we could keep her down forever. If we don’t burn off the atmosphere, freeze her core, or blow her up with something like antimatter. I think it’s a safe bet she will eventually survive what we throw at her and us.
Poetically, there is some repetition and I’d like to see the imagery develop more Tolkien‘ish. I like the doom and gloom before a new and better era. This reminds me Led Zeppelins “The Battle of Evermore”. Just a few word combinations can ad lots of emotion; Last –choking- breath, debts too deep to be paid, bloody hands choking the life out of tomorrow’s last child. Well, that’s what I want to do with this anyway. I do like it. It got me a bit fired up. Might even inspire me to write something if I haven’t gone completely rust bucket. LMAO!!!
Thanks for sharing.

Yo = Bill?
You haven’t done anything to warrant anything like even a temporary block so… try again. I was going to leave instructions on how to continue if it fails but we have that incredibly annoying image hosting add that pops up now and F’s everything up. I don’t see any way to get them to email your password anymore. Sign up again.
