The hackers have made good on their threat and dumped the information they took from the dating site for cheating spouses. It is said to include unencrypted credit card numbers, names, addresses, and transactions, but not expiration dates or the three digit security code on the back of the card. I’ve been looking for the list of names and I can’t seem to find it. I’m not married so I haven’t looked real hard either. Reading the blogs has been hilarious though. Many are pissed off at the hackers, gee I wonder why, and accuse them of extortion. The hackers never demanded money, only that the site be shut down, and the information they released isn’t likely to lead to identity theft according to at least one security company. My favorite part of all this is the expected rash of confessions from cheating spouses. LMAO! Sadly, it seems a good time in human history to be a divorce lawyer .

Name and shame..fine no issues there, but credit card numbers etc..bang out of order, their already suffering partners will suffer at being robbed as well !!

It doesn’t look like that will be a problem. It’s so big in the news that any fool who used a card to register should know enough to cancel it anyway.

The latest news is that some AM users are now receiving extortion Emails threatening to tell their spouse if they don’t pay. I don’t like it but I see the humor in it too. Lying, cheating, and betrayal always comes home to roost.
