Damned poets and their metaphors If life is walking than running is life sped up An entire span in a single day over and over
Running has the flavor of perfect habit It mimics undeniable truths small deaths paying homage to the real one We all choose them and delight in the ritual
Damn poets I make the metaphor real I’ll run till my heart bursts with nowhere to run and nothing to run from but walking takes too long
LonelyForsaken Note: I think it develops better if I switch S2 and S3 but I so want to end with “Walking takes too long.”

I got it as "no matter how much you are fast, life doesn't chase you but never miss". We try to run but ... life is a ring and we are getting closer to our end anyway ... Shit! The longer I ponder on this piece the more I like it! Thank you! W.F.
