You're making perfect sense You had brought up a rant section. There is currently a rant thread in FTS. A board isn't a bad idea, but feel free to post any new thread you want, regardless of tone, in Discussion. We can talk it over with Leash.

I saw the Rant in Fight the System i just didn't feel i had anything constructive to add to what has already been said.

Well, the topic has changed a few times I just posted something totally random there.

How about Poem Tag: When you post a poem create links with certain words of your poem that matches someone else's poem. The wanderlust alone would do wonders for page views...

So, after like 3 years, you remembered what you meant by poem tag... priceless

The stream of consciousness just goes on, it just took a while to get back across the galaxy and 2 blocks over...

Oh, Leashypoo... I still think adding a spoken word forum could be interesting. I've seen it on a few online magazines. Is this a possibility? We had one up maybe 5 years ago? Didnt get used so I turfed it. I can look into setting it up again if you like.

I really don't want you to go through all that trouble if it won't be used.

How about a board for slam poetry? I have a couple posted already, but it would be cool to have them all together (plus making it work took an eternity). What about a feature that would allow us to "follow" other members? I have seen this in use on other sites and it's quite handy.

I like the “follow” other members idea a lot. Even something as simple as being able to search by username would be great. I have taken an interest at times in specific writers and searching for their work as it is was a daunting task.

Forsaken, we may have two different ideas in mind. My idea is like a subscription. You could subscribe to a particular member then every time they post a poem you would be notified with a link. We cannot go back and recode the site to have every poem an individual has written linked to that person. It is excessively tedious, especially considering some members have had multiple accounts. I have seen forums where that coding is in use and it is handy, but I think it was probably in place from the beginning. Also, from what I have seen elsewhere, our boards are far easier to navigate.

My thought was that it might be easier to tweak the search engine.

The search engine definitely needs it! It's almost as attitudial as the Sand Box!
